How to Get Past or Bypass Internet Filter

A friend called me the other day asking how to get past internet filter or restriction. I have written few topics on this and feel that information should be freely access by anyone. What is internet filter and how to bypass it?
Internet filter or web filter main purpose is to block, restrict or monitor an individual internet access activity. It’s usually done by contain censorship software that helps in blocking certain websites access to where they think is not legitimate.
You can try to get past filtered website through the IP address of the website. Get the IP address here or do it manually, it’s easy through cmd or command prompt.
- Go to Start and select Run type cmd.
- Once cmd screen is open type tracert follow by the website you want to access.
- For example if you want to access www.google.com
- Type tracert google.com, you will see the IP address of the website in numbers form like 64.233.181.99
- Just type the website IP address to your browser address bar to gain access.
- For example type 64.233.181.99 in internet explorer address bar to access www.google.com
Accessing filtered website with IP address does not usually work, but still it’s a good try. If it doesn’t work you can try the following tools or methods to get past internet filters:
