How to download video clips from video websites such as Youtube, Metacafe, Vevo or just anywhere in the internet without using software or tools?
While we watch or stream video clips on internet with our browser (Internet explorer or Firefox) we are actually downloading the video files to temporary internet folders. So there’s no need to download it again with additional software or plugins which takes longer time and slower.
We just need to find the video files and save it to your computer. I am going to show you how to locate the video files from Internet Explorer and Firefox temporary internet folder in Windows. The steps are shown with Windows 7; you may use the following steps in Vista or XP as you wish.
Locating Video files from Internet Explorer Temporary Internet Folder
Locating the videos files (.flv or flash video) from Internet Explorer is rather easy comparing to Mozilla Firefox.
Steps as below:
- Open Internet Explorer browser

- Go to Browsing History-> Setting and select View files
- Right click to set view option to view as Details
- Click on file size to locate the larger files with an .flv extension
- Copy the video files and save it to your prefer location
- You might need to download video codec to play .flv video files.
- I am using RealPlayer SP here or you can use Media codec here
Locating Video files from Mozilla Firefox Temporary Internet Folder

- You might need to download video codec to play the .flv video files.
- I am using RealPlayer SP here or you can use Media codec here
